LPC Treatment Plant
Receives HSE Excellence Award
The Jacobs President’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)
Excellence Award is the highest recognition presented by the President of
Jacobs Engineering Group to operating units throughout the world. The LPC Water Treatment Plant won the award
in the “Operations Management Category” for having a four year accident free
record.
Hazard awareness is one of the most crucial skills for our
employees as they perform their safe work planning process. The LPC Water Treatment Plant has integrated
site-specific safety procedures from their HSE program into Jacobs
standard safety regimen. Implementing
Hazard Evaluation and Risk Assessment (HERA), Potential Value of a Loss (PVL)
risk metric and Critical Task Inventory programs on the project have been a
great addition to Jacobs skill inventory.
Jacobs employs more that 40,000 people world wide, and recognition
as a superior site out of that large of a group is an indication of the
sustained excellent safety performance by John Trimble and his team at the
treatment plant. Fifteen people from the
Globe-Miami area are employed at the LPC Treatment Plant which is a critical
facility in the Pinal Creek remediation system.
